On June 18, 2015, our association convened the Review Conference on Standardization of Imported Nut Products Production and Operation Ordinance (Draft Standard) held in Wuhu City. 

The conference was presided over by Weng Yangyang, executive vice president of Specialized Committee for Nuts and Roasted Seeds Of China National Food Industry Association, and attended by associations of nuts and roasted seeds from 9 provinces and cities, more than 50 delegates from over 20 leading enterprises involving materials suppliers, suppliers, processing enterprises and distributors of imported nuts and roasted seeds, as well as representatives of local government of Lin’an and other cities. 

Representatives of the conference had a detailed discussion about Review Conference on Standardization of Imported Nut Products Production and Operation Ordinance (Draft Standard) , and put forward suggestions for amendment and supplement to article contents, order, phrasing and description of ordinance, including custom clearance materials, invoice, survey report required by China’s customs, supervised method of market value, organizing third party’s audit institutions to implement casual audit, and establishment of system of rewards and penalties. On the conference, representatives gave positive statements, expressed positive views and finally reach consensus on all articles of the ordinance. They agreed that formulation and implementation of Review Conference on Standardization of Imported Nut Products Production and Operation Ordinance will effectively maintain production and operation procedure for imported nut products and safeguard safe and legal rights and interests of industries and enterprises.

Meanwhile, representatives of the conference agreed that suggestions for revision put forward by the conference should be delivered to enterprises concerned for opinions after modifications by the associations. Then suggestions for revision will be formulated as draft for review and submitted to board of management for self-implementation within industry. 

At the same time, representatives of the conference put forward suggestions for government control of import of nuts, including customs formalities for same kinds of products in place other than their own hometown, difference in materials, irregularities of implantation of border trade policies, pricing basis for customs guiding price and responsibility rules etc, and the associations will give the above suggestions to customs.
