The “Intelligent Hetao, Sunflower Greetings” Second General Assembly and Industrial Development Summit organized by China Nuts and Seeds Industry Development League Sunflower Branch and undertaken by Inner Mongolia Sunflower Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance was held in Wuyuan County, Inner Mongolia on Aug. 18, 2017. Wu Lianchang, Secretary of Sunflower League, Yilate, Executive Vice County Mayor, Bao Wei, and Zhan Mei, Vice County Mayor, and persons in charge of relevant functional departments of Wuyuan County. Nearly 200 representatives from well-known enterprises and famous experts and scholars around China gathered together to discuss and communicate extensively.

Mr. Ma Weisheng, Secretary General of Inner Mongolia Sunflower Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance introduced edible plantation area, distribution, variety use and output situations in 2017, and forecasted trend of new sunflower seeds market price, which provide information reference for edible sunflower plantation and marketing, and become highlight of the entire conference.  

In recent years, the sunflower industry develops rapidly in China, and has acquired outstanding achievements. The sunflower industry in China is leading in the world in aspects of scientific research level, plantation area, market consumption and export volume, and is becoming the center of world sunflower industry. The healthy development of the sunflower industry plays an irreplaceable role in increasing famers’ income, and keeping sustainable development of local economy and society. This conference provided precious opportunity to extensive sunflower industry practitioners for trade cooperation and technical communication, and led and pushed the healthy and sustainable development of sunflower industry in China actively.
